Viviane S. Kaneff is a decorative painter and faux finisher in New Canaan, CT. She has studied and continues to study at The Isabel O'Neil Studio Workshop, New York, and The Finishing School, New York and Pennsylvania.
Additionally, she has studied with Pierre Finkelstein of The Pierre Finkelstein Institute of Decorative Painting; Melanie Royals of Royal Design Studio; Helen Morris, The Stencil Library, UK; Alison Wooley of Florenceart Studio, Italy.
She continues to study the latest techniques and products through workshops at the IDAL (International Decorative Artisans League) conventions and the Faux Expos.
Her previous profession as a producer of television commercials and industrial films taught her the importance of organization, professionalism and respect for her client's budget, as well as invaluable training in translating and presenting her client's viewpoint.
Viviane is a member of The International Decorative Artisans League and is insured and licensed in Connecticut and Westchester County. She is also an ASID Industry Partner and a member of the Connecticut Green Building Council.
Viviane's commitment to environmental issues inspired her to train to become a certified applicator for the eco-friendly, low VOC, Shizen line of faux finishing products from Modern Masters. From simple glazes to sophisticated plasters these products add elegance and beauty while maintaining good indoor air quality. In October 2009, Viviane became a Certified Representative and Instructor for Country Living's Caromal Colours® line and now teaches inspired Do It Yourself homeowners to create simple faux finishes themselves.
